VisionMate

VisionMate

ESP32-S3 Gemini 1.5 Flash Base64 Encoding Google-TTS
VisionMate is an embedded assistive vision system for the visually impaired, built on the Xiao ESP32-S3 Sense. It integrates Google Gemini 1.5 Flash and Text-to-Speech to interpret real-time scenes and deliver contextual audio feedback through I²S-based bone-conduction speakers. Supporting translation, currency recognition, and object detection, VisionMate combines optimized firmware, low-latency processing, and balanced hardware design, demonstrating practical applications of embedded AI, signal processing, and wearable mixed-signal systems.
Memora

Memora

EdgeImpulse ComputerVision EmbeddedML I2C
Memora is an offline edge-AI assistive system built on the ESP32 that performs real-time face and object recognition without cloud dependency. It features a custom distilled Edge Impulse inference library optimized for constrained hardware, enabling efficient CNN inference and sub-three-second end-to-end response. The system integrates an ESP32-based vision unit, secure local Wi-Fi transfer, and a wearable I²S + LCD bracelet for synchronized visual and audio reminders- demonstrating advanced embedded ML, signal processing, and hardware-software co-design in a compact, low-power architecture.
Immersive Game Controller

Echonyx

DigitalSignalProcessing BoneConductionAudio BluetoothA2DP
Echonyx is a low-cost, embedded hearing-assist system built into sunglasses, designed for users with conductive hearing loss. Powered by an ESP32 controller, it runs a custom real-time DSP pipeline that replays ambient audio through bone-conduction transducers with sub-100 ms latency. The firmware integrates a Bluetooth 5.0 A2DP interface and dedicated DAC path, enabling seamless switching between hearing-aid and open-ear headphone modes. The hardware design emphasizes low-noise analog amplification, power-efficient audio routing, and mixed-signal optimization, showcasing end-to-end expertise in embedded DSP, wireless audio systems, and wearable circuit design.

About Me

Hello! I am Dhruv Bhilare, a Sophmore majoring in Computer and Electrical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati. Born and raised in India, I moved to the United States to further my education and pursue my passion for robotics and innovation.

With a strong foundation in both hardware and software, I enjoy working on projects that blend electronics, programming, and mechanical design. My goal is to create innovative and efficient technologies that solve real-world problems.

When I’m not soldering circuits or writing code, you’ll probably find me playing Basketball, working out, or listening to music. Those moments keep me balanced and often spark the next big idea.

This website serves as a portfolio of my work, showcasing my projects, ideas, and technical expertise. I am always eager to learn, collaborate, and push the boundaries of what's possible in robotics and hardware-software technologies.
